This week’s picture is a favorite of mine.  It’s impossible to get away from technology, no matter where in the world you visit and how developing that place might be.  Bolivia was definitely one of the poorest countries we traveled through on our RTW trip, so it was always surprising to see things like satellite dishes on tops of ramshackle houses.  This picture comes from our afternoon in Oruruo waiting for the train down to Tupiza.  Megan wandered off, and as happens in Latin America, she came across a little parade.  She saw these traditionally dressed women and little boy, and it wasn’t until we put the pictures on our computer did we notice that one of the women was busy texting on her phone.
